Formula 1 pilots Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, future teammates at Ferrari, where Lewis will join next year, have experienced extreme overloads while flying jet planes. But not together.

At the invitation of the French Air Force, Charles Leclair spent 48 hours at the air force base, where he took an express training course and flew two flights on the fourth-generation French multi-role fighter Dassault Rafale as a passenger. During the flights, Charles was able to see his native Monaco, take part in mid-air refueling and endure g-forces of over 8.5 g.

Lewis Hamilton’s flight is more of a promotional event for the Swiss watchmaker IWC Schaffhausen. Lewis was flying as a passenger on a Czech Aero L-39 Albatros trainer/light combat aircraft, which is still in use in many armies around the world, including the Ukrainian army. The L-39 was piloted by one of the directors of the Polaris program in the past, Lieutenant Colonel John Baum, one of the founders of the military company Draken International. I wonder if Hamilton is planning to go into space?

Both Formula 1 pilots experienced g-forces of more than 7.5 g during their flights and seemed to be satisfied with the new experience. Both videos deserve the attention of fans of the Royal Race and airplanes.
