Shift Up is planning to release Stellar Blade, a PlayStation 5 exclusive, on PC. The studio expects the game to show better sales results on the new platform. It was reported by Eurogamer.

The game was released on PlayStation 5 in April 2024. The story tells about a girl named Eve who tries to save the Earth from alien monsters known as neutibas. As of June, the game has sold more than 1 million copies.

Shift Up announced its intentions to release Stellar Blade on PC during its Q3 2024 financial statements. In a statement, the studio said that the game’s release on PC could be more successful than on PlayStation 5 due to “Steam’s expanding market share in the AAA games sector and the global success of Black Myth: Wukong.”

It is worth noting that Black Myth: Wukong, mentioned by Shift Up, was released in August 2024, was bought more than 10 million times, and became the most popular single-player game in the history of Steam.

Earlier, the studio also unveiled a new expansion for Stellar Blade, which will add the 2B suit from Nier: Automata. The add-on will be released on November 20.
