Google is working on a new feature for its Gemini Live chatbot that will allow users to discuss attached files and documents. This is reported by Android Authority.
The new feature will be available to Gemini Advanced subscription holders, as they can already upload files to the chatbot to get an overview of them or make changes. The new feature will also allow you to ask questions and receive voice responses from Gemini Live.
The update was mentioned in the beta version of Google’s program. The chatbot will recognize when users are adding a file, such as from a device or Drive, and offer to continue the conversation with a conversational bot that can provide contextual answers.
So far, we have not been able to get the feature to work in either the Google beta or Gemini Live. Therefore, it is not yet known when and if the company plans to release this update to the stable version.
Google already has a tool that allows you to turn documents into podcasts – NotebookLM. Recently, Meta.
