Google CEO Sundar Pichai said that more than a quarter of all the code the company creates today is generated by artificial intelligence. This was reported by The Verge.

After generation, the code is thoroughly checked and accepted by the company’s engineers. Pichai said this during a presentation on the company’s financial statements for the third quarter of 2024. Thus, the Google CEO assures that the company is confident in the technologies it develops.

“In Search, our new AI features are expanding what people can search for and how they search for it,” Sundar Pichai says. “In Cloud, our AI solutions are helping drive deeper product adoption with existing customers, attract new customers and win larger deals. And YouTube’s total ads and subscription revenues surpassed $50 billion over the past four quarters for the first time.”

Alphabet reported $88.3 billion in revenue for the quarter, of which Google Services (which includes search) generated $76.5 billion, up 13% year-on-year, and Google Cloud (which includes AI infrastructure products for other companies) generated $11.4 billion, up 35% year-on-year.

However, Google is facing a potentially difficult period after a US court ruled that the company is a monopolist in the search and advertising markets. This case is currently at the stage of taking appropriate measures.
