Microsoft is preparing a new version of Surface Laptop with Intel Lunar Lake processor. The corresponding prototype of the device was tried to be sold on the Chinese website Goofish, Windows Central reports.
The description said that the laptop is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 268v processor, and the device itself will not be officially available until 2025. Currently, Microsoft’s latest laptop, which the company introduced in May, is available exclusively with Qualcomm Snapdragon X chips.
Windows Central sources have further confirmed that Microsoft is currently testing variants of the Surface Laptop with Intel Lunar Lake on board. They also mention that the device has a working name of EVB, but they are not sure whether it will be an update of the Surface Laptop 7 or a new version of the laptop.
Whatever the name of the next Microsoft device, it will retain the same design. It is also reported that in 2025 the company wants to introduce laptops with both Intel and Qualcomm chips.
Goofish’s website also indicated that the laptop will cost about $2600, will be equipped with 32 GB of RAM, will have 1 TB of storage, and the Intel Core Ultra 268v chip will be paired with an Intel Arc 140V GPU. Also, this Surface Laptop will have an Intel AI Boost NPU with 40 TOPS.
