Apple has introduced a new Apple Watch Ultra 2 model in a black titanium case. This is the first time Apple has released a Watch Ultra smartwatch in more than one color.
The smartwatch will feature a new Satin Black titanium strap. The company also announced a new Hermès edition with its own nautical-inspired watch strap and exclusive dial.
The updated watch will feature a sleep apnea detection function that uses the watch’s accelerometer to analyze breathing data every 30 days and notify the user when sleep apnea is detected.
In addition to the Apple Watch Ultra 2, this feature will be available in the announced Apple Watch 10 and Apple Watch 9.
The smartwatch will receive an update to watchOS 11 with improvements to Smart Stack widgets. The watch will now show information from iPhone apps in real time, and will also get more sports features.
Among them is the “Training load” function, which shows how hard you have been exercising compared to your usual sports activities. Another widget is Vital Signs, which collects information about the wearer’s vital signs and notifies you when indicators such as respiratory rate or sleep duration deviate from the norm.
Apple Watch Ultra 2 in the new color will cost $799 and will be released on September 20.
