NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang promises sufficient supplies of the Blackwell chip after production picks up. This was reported by Bloomberg.

“We’re going to have lots and lots of supply, and we will be able to ramp,” he said in an interview with Bloomberg Television.

Samples of the chip are already being distributed “all over the world today,” and the company has started mass production.

The availability of the Blackwell chip, first announced earlier this year, has become a key topic for NVIDIA analysts and investors.

This product is the long-awaited successor to the Hopper line of chips, which have led to rapid growth in the company’s revenue and share price. But manufacturing issues have raised concerns about delays.

Earlier, NVIDIA reported that it had to modernize part of the production process. But even with the changes, the company expects to receive billions of dollars in revenue from Blackwell in the fourth fiscal quarter.

Jensen Huang discussed this issue during the quarterly call, when analysts asked the CEO for more information about Blackwell’s revenue.

When he refused to elaborate, this affected NVIDIA shares at the end of trading on August 28, 2024. The stock fell 7% despite NVIDIA’s strong results and outlook for the third quarter of the fiscal year.

On the eve of the earnings report, analysts expressed fears that problems with Blackwell could hinder NVIDIA’s rapid growth and even slow down the spread of artificial intelligence.

However, on Bloomberg Television, Jensen Huang said that he thought he was quite clear about Blackwell’s prospects. According to him, “Functionality of Blackwell is wonderful,”

In addition to the fourth-quarter earnings, which end in January 2025, Jensen Huang said, “we will have a great next year as well.”
