Tesla is hiring people to help train its humanoid robot Optimus. The position is called “Data Collection Operator” on the company’s website, The Verge reports.

The employee will have to wear a special motion-capture suit, a VR headset, and bear weight and imitate the actions that the humanoid is supposed to perform.

The requirements for candidates include a height of 170 to 180 cm. They also need to be able to carry about 14 kg of weight and walk for more than 7 hours. They will be paid up to $48 per hour for their work.

According to Business Insider, Tesla hired more than 50 employees for this position last year.

Earlier, Elon Musk said that next year Tesla will have a “small-scale production” of humanoid robots for internal use in the company. According to him, as early as 2026, Tesla “hopes” to launch robots in large-scale production for other companies.

Last December, Tesla unveiled a new generation of its humanoid robot Optimus.
