The headline in our last post about the new Mazda EZ-6 is coming true: AUTOCAR has announced that the Mazda EZ-6 electric car will be sold in Europe.

The Mazda EZ-6 electric car was originally developed as a model for the Chinese market and in partnership with the local Chinese company Changan. The new Mazda EZ-6 will be available in an all-electric version with a single electric motor (160 kW or 218 hp) and rear-wheel drive – such an electric vehicle will be able to cover up to 600 km.

A modification of the Mazda EZ-6 with a range extender (REx or EREV) is also promised, which will allow it to reach 1000 km of autonomy. However, even in this case, it will be the electric motor that will be responsible for driving, and the gasoline engine will be used only to drive the electric generator.

However, it is worth noting that these characteristics are currently known for the Chinese version of the Mazda EZ-6 electric vehicle and it is possible that the European versions will be slightly different. But it is already clear that the production of the Mazda EZ-6 will still take place in China with further exports to Europe.

I wonder what to expect in the history of the Mazda EZ-6 electric car next – perhaps the start of sales in Ukraine as well?
