Affinity is launching a six-month free trial of its design software, which is considered one of the few viable alternatives to Adobe’s suite. The offer is available for Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer, and Affinity Publisher, starting June 8, 2024, on Mac, Windows, and iPad, The Verge reports.

Affinity uses a one-time purchase pricing model that has gained a loyal fan base among creatives who are tired of paying for ongoing subscriptions. Prices start at $69.99 for individual programs or $164.99 for the entire package. In addition, we are currently offering a 50% discount on all Affinity programs.

This discount, together with a six-month trial, should give designers the opportunity to try an alternative without having to spend money on it.

“We’re saying ‘try everything and pay nothing’ because we understand making a change can be a big step, particularly for busy professionals,” said Affinity CEO Ashley Hewson. “Anyone who takes the trial is under absolutely no obligation to buy.”

The Affinity team was acquired by Canva a few months ago to increase competition with Adobe.
