As planned, the developers of Echo of Prypiat, a walking simulator for the Chornobyl zone, have launched a Kickstarter campaign to support the project.

The authors hope to raise a fairly small amount of $6,498, which should be enough to complete the game. But so far, things are going slowly, with only 10% of the required amount raised.

Most of the money from the Kickstarter will be used to pay English-speaking voice actors, create realistic flora and fauna of Polissya, create additional game interactions with the environment, etc.

As of now, the Kickstarter lists August 2024 as the time when backers will receive Echo of Prypiat Steam keys.

According to the developers themselves, the game will be released even without Kickstarter and additional funding, but it will take more time and some of the planned features will not be implemented. So, if you want to support the Ukrainian developers, we would like to remind you once again of the address of the Echo of Prypiat Kickstarter page.

We recently published an interview with the authors of Echo of Prypiat about their attempts to create a dream game and the current state of development.
