Czech-Ukrainian studio Dreamate has released a story trailer for its single-player role-playing game set in the steampunk fantasy world of New Arc Line.

The project will offer to plunge into the maelstrom of the age-old conflict between magic and technology. Newark is a high-tech city in the game world, and it is in and around it that the main events take place. But outside of Newark, you will find other cities, as well as entire regions scattered across the New World continent.

The trailer shows the gameplay and main characters of the game. Players will have to explore the world with a camera in an isometric perspective, communicate with numerous characters using an extensive dialog system, and, of course, fight various enemies in turn-based battles.

The trailer also suggests that magic in the game’s world is a kind of disease, the carriers of which are persecuted by the government.

But let us remind you that New Arc Line is published by Fulqrum Publishing, which until July 2022 was called 1C Entertainment. And don’t be fooled by the fact that the company’s website has a Czech address, as the company’s management and a large share of employees are Russians. The company’s LinkedIn page indicates that 7 out of 16 employees still live in Russia.

Accordingly, the game could not do without the Russian localization language, but at least they did not forget about the Ukrainian language.
