Google has accidentally published an updated page for Google Messages, showing that RCS on iPhone will appear in the fall. This was reported by Android Central.

The updated page was up for several hours before being removed, but the Internet never forgets. On a separate slide about RCS, it was written that Apple had announced that it would introduce RCS in the fall.

Apple has previously stated that RCS on the iPhone will appear in 2024. The fall will also see the release of iOS 18, which is likely to add support for the new protocol.

After years of pressure from competitors, Apple finally agreed to implement the RCS protocol on the iPhone last November. In addition, the company also plans to work with the GSMA to improve security and encryption.
