Google presents its smartphones in the fall. Of course, the search giant starts working on updates much earlier. And insiders don’t rest all this time. So this time, the design of the Google Pixel 9 Pro was leaked long before the official announcement.
Images of Google’s next flagship were shared by OnLeaks on MySmartPrice.
Insider Steve Hemmerstoffer (OnLeaks) often finds a way to get to the source at the manufacturers and talks about upcoming updates of interesting devices before their scheduled releases. Now he has shown the appearance of the Google Pixel 9 Pro, which (theoretically) will change quite significantly compared to the current flagship.
As you can see from the images, Pixel 9 Pro will have a flat display and bezel. Currently, the Pixel 8 Pro has a much more rounded shape. Thus, if the renders do show more than one design option, the next Pixel will look like an iPhone.
It is expected that the dimensions of the device will also change. Thus, the display will have a diagonal of 6.5 inches and uniform thin bezels around it. A small notch for the front camera will remain at the top of the screen, in the center.
The smaller display will also lead to changes in the dimensions, which will be 162.7×76.6×8.5 mm. All control keys will be located on the right side of the case. The cutouts for USB-C and the SIM card slot will be at the bottom.
The camera block, which is easily recognizable as a Google smartphone, will also be updated. However, it will still follow the design familiar to users. However, the protrusion for it will remain quite large, increasing the thickness of the body in this place to 12 mm. It will contain three sensors, including wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle and periscopic telephoto. The main one will also be able to get a variable aperture value.
It’s hard to say with certainty that the manufacturer will actually choose this design. There is still plenty of time to make changes. Nevertheless, the Google Pixel 9 Pro already looks like a pretty interesting option.
