Ubisoft Singapore, which has been working on the ill-fated Skull and Bones for too long, which is expected to be released on February 16, 2024, has been working on another project in the Assassin’s Creed series since the second half of 2023 – a remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (2013).

Back in the summer of 2023, Kotaku wrote about the development of a Black Flag remake, but this time, content creator JorRaptor found on LinkedIn confirmation of the existence of an unannounced project in the Assassin’s Creed universe that Ubisoft Singapore is working on.

In fact, it is expected. Remakes are now well received by the public, Black Flag is one of the most favorite parts of the Assassin’s Creed IV series, Ubisoft Singapore has been involved in the creation of Black Flag and almost all parts of the game since Assassin’s Creed II. So everything worked out. It’s ironic that at some stage of development, the authors of Skull and Bones suggested returning the game to its roots and making it more in the spirit of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

In any case, we shouldn’t expect a remake next year, and with the development cycle that Ubisoft is currently following, it will most likely be 2026-27.
