In addition to Developer Direct, another game presentation was held yesterday – ESO 2024 Global Reveal by Bethesda Softworks. At the event, the company told what will be waiting for players in The Elder Scrolls Online this year.

The most important news, quite naturally, was the announcement of the next addition. It is called Gold Road and will introduce a new zone – West Weald, a rural area in the south of Cyrodiil. The main city of West Weald is Skingrad, already familiar to fans of The Elder Scrolls universe who had the opportunity to visit it in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

Gold Road is a direct continuation of the previous expansion, Necrom (whose story campaign, unexpectedly for all players, ended in a big cliffhanger), and will introduce, among other things, a Daedric Prince Ithelia, new to The Elder Scrolls universe. We’re also promised new dungeons, trials, world bosses, and more – in total, we’ll have about 30 hours of playtime.

Together with Gold Road, the developer will introduce a new game mechanic called Scribing, which will allow you to customize your character’s skills and abilities to your liking, for example, adding additional properties to the basic archery attack. ZeniMax Online was working on a similar system called Spellcrafting many years ago, but then abandoned it for a long time to return to this idea this year.

The release will traditionally take place in early summer: The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road is due out on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) on June 3, and on consoles (PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S) on June 18. It will be preceded by a small DLC with two dungeons in the first quarter, and in the third and fourth quarters we will receive additional additions, including new companions and PvP updates.

In addition, as The Elder Scrolls Online celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, the developer has planned festive events for the gaming community… for 15 months.
