The well-known accessory manufacturer Belkin has released a rather interesting iPhone dock. The gadget is called Belkin Stand Pro. At first glance, it looks like an ordinary charging station for a smartphone, but it has original functionality.

This is reported by TheVerge.

The Belkin Stand Pro is a motorized station that will independently move the smartphone, which at the same time tracks the user’s position in the frame. The principle is simple: just connect your iPhone 12 (or later) with MagSafe, authorize the connection using NFC, and that’s it.

Using Apple’s DockKit, the station will respond accordingly to the instructions of the smartphone. No additional software is required. The station can rotate 360° in a circle and tilt the smartphone 90° forward/backward. And it will work with both standard FaceTime and Camera apps and third-party apps (such as Instagram, Microsoft Teams, TikTok, etc.).

The controls are also simple. There is one button on the case that turns the tracking on and off. It also has an LED indicator that informs about the current operating mode.

At the same time, the dock can charge your smartphone. The induction charging power is 15 W. The dock itself is powered by a 30-watt bundled power supply. However, it also has a built-in battery that will provide approximately 5 hours of operation without a power source.

However, such a dock is not cheap. It costs $179.99. Unfortunately, the manufacturer did not specify the start date of sales.

In addition, Belkin is updating the BoostCharge Pro 3-in-1 Magnetic Stand, a dock for simultaneously charging iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods. The new version received support for the Qi2 standard. The same standard is now supported by the BoostCharge Pro Magnetic Power Bank with a 5,000 mAh battery. The cost of the new products is $149.99 and $39.99, respectively. They will be available in March.
