Tesla has recalled almost all cars sold in China. This was due to problems with the Autopilot system that increase the risk of accidents, reports Bloomberg.

This includes more than 1.6 million cars manufactured between August 2014 and December 2023, including locally produced Model 3 and Model Y and imported premium models.

For them, the automaker will release a software update, which is formally called a recall.

This is not the first such situation Tesla has faced. Several similar incidents occurred in December last year.

First, Tesla announced that it would update the software of more than 2 million cars in the United States due to an autopilot defect. And soon it became known that the company was recalling 120 thousand cars in the United States because of a problem with door safety.
