The number of representatives of portable gaming systems is expected to increase soon. Judging by a teaser on social media, MSI will present its version of such a system at CES 2024. Thus, ASUS ROG Ally, Lenovo Legion Go, and, of course, Steam Deck will have another competitor. Tom’s Hardware drew attention to this.

A short video on MSI’s official Instagram account shows a pair of RGB-backlit sticks, the logo, and the ventilation holes of the future system. The short description “A new breed of MSI dragons is emerging” also does not reveal any details, keeping the intrigue until the presentation.

Judging by the response to MSI’s post on the X social network, unlike other representatives of the category, the “new breed of dragons” will receive a processor not from AMD, but from Intel.

VideoCardz.com has also shared an insight into MSI’s portable gaming system. Geekbench lists its name as Claw. The device will indeed be powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor, which will offer 16 cores/22 threads (6 performance, 8 energy-saving, and two more low-power cores), and eight-core Arc Alchemist graphics. The device will also have 32 GB of RAM (though it is not certain that there will not be other configurations).

The publication also offers an early version of the competitor comparison:

However, for the full picture, we will have to wait for the official presentation from MSI. It is worth reminding that CES 2024 is scheduled to start on January 9. However, it is quite possible that the manufacturer (following the example of other companies) may send a press release a little earlier. In any case, we won’t have to wait long for the new product.
