The first accident involving a Cybertruck electric pickup truck occurs in the United States. Photos from the scene of the accident were posted on Reddit, and soon the information about the incident was confirmed by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), writes The Verge.

According to the patrol, two cars were involved in the accident – a Cybertruck with three people and a 2009 Toyota Corolla driven by a 17-year-old teenager.

The CHP’s preliminary investigation indicates that the Toyota driver caused the accident. It was he who crashed into the Tesla electric pickup truck, which was apparently not moving in autonomous mode.

No one involved in the incident appears to have been seriously injured. However, the traffic patrol noted that the Cybertruck driver was suspected of having a minor injury. However, he refused medical transportation.

Judging by the photos, the Toyota Corolla was quite seriously damaged. The Cybertruck, on the other hand, suffered less damage. However, the available images do not allow us to fully assess the situation.

As a reminder, Cybertruck was introduced in the fall of 2019. However, sales of the electric pickup started only recently.
