Alan Ritchson, known for his roles in Reacher and Fast X, is ready to play Batman. He spoke about this in an interview with Fortress of Solitude.

The actor was asked to comment on Kevin Smith’s statement that Reacher in Alan Ritchson’s version is “Batman without a cape” and who would be better in a fight, the Dark Knight or Reacher, to which he replied as follows:

“With all the rumours flying that I’m supposed to be playing Batman, how can I knock Batman? I would love to play Batman.”

It’s not so much a rumor as it is a wish of many fans that Alan Ritchson will play the vigilante Gotham in the upcoming Batman: The Brave and the Bold, which will have nothing to do with Matt Reeves’ movie with Robert Pattinson.

Besides, Kevin Smith is a friend of Ben Affleck’s and has ties to the DC cinematic universe, and he himself has emphasized that Alan Ritchson would be a great option for the role of the Dark Knight.

Batman: The Brave and the Bold will be part of the first phase of the updated DC cinematic universe, which will be called Gods and Monsters. The film is going to tell the story of a father and son, showing Damien Wayne, the son of Bruce Wayne and one of the Robins, in a movie for the first time.
