The Lexus UX crossover has not only been updated, but even changed its index: it was Lexus UX 250h – it became Lexus UX 300h. The change in designation fully corresponds to the changes in technology. Even if the new hybrid crossover is recognizable from the outside only by the index, inside the buyer will find a new generation hybrid system, the fifth in a row!
What has changed? The main 2-liter gasoline engine remained, but the improvement of the electric motor allowed to increase the total power from 184 to 199 hp – that’s the confirmation of the index change! In addition, the Lexus UX 300h now has a more modern Li-Ion battery that powers the hybrid system. A version with an additional rear electric motor is also available (the total power does not change), which allows the crossover to be positioned as an all-wheel drive.
There are some changes in the cabin, but you have to pay attention to the details. For example, the large tablet display appeared in previous intermediate updates of the model, and the transmission joystick was first added to the Lexus UX 300e electric vehicle – that is, now these changes have simply been combined together in the Lexus UX 300h. But what has been added is a radically new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
Finally, it is worth noting the expansion of the security system complex, new variants of seat finishes and decorative inserts in the cabin, etc.
Sales of the Lexus UX 300h are scheduled to start in 2024. Given the certain popularity of the Lexus UX in Ukraine, we should also expect this updated crossover soon.
