Elon Musk wants to turn Cybertruck into a boat, this plan is already in the works

Elon Musk wants to turn the Cybertruck electric pickup truck into a boat. According to him, a corresponding plan is already in the works, writes The Register.

“We are going to offer a mod package that enables Cybertruck to traverse at least 100m of water as a boat,” said Tesla’s CEO.

He also added that, for the most part, it is only necessary to improve the sealing of the cab doors. Elon Musk shared this information in response to the published video.

In the video, Lars Moravi, Tesla’s vice president of vehicle development, told TV host and automotive expert Jay Leno that turning the Cybertruck into a boat was one of the billionaire’s dreams.

“The vehicle almost floats. Maybe you have to add a little bit of extra buoyancy to keep it up,” Lars Moravy said.

As a reminder, Cybertruck was introduced in the fall of 2019. However, sales of the electric pickup truck started only recently.
