The popular series about criminal gangs in England in 1920 Peaky Blinders will get two spin-offs, and Cillian Murphy will not be in them, writes IGN.

One of the series will take place in the United States, in Boston, in the middle of the 20th century. That is, the events will take place a few decades after the finale of the original series. No further details were disclosed.

As for the second project, it will focus on one of the main characters, Polly, one of the most important people in the Peaky Blinders gang. Helen McCrory, the actress who played Polly in the series, died in 2021, so the new project will most likely focus on the character’s youth.

In addition, it was previously reported that the series is planned to be made into a feature film, as recently mentioned by screenwriter Steven Knight. According to him, the script is almost ready, and filming is scheduled to start in mid-2024, so we may hear more about it in the near future.

Cillian Murphy also commented on the possibility of returning to the role of Thomas Shelby in the movie:

“I’m totally open to the idea, but I also do think it was a kind of perfect six seasons,” he said. “It’s sometimes hard to move into the film format, and I do like the ambiguity of the ending, but I’m always open to a great script, who wouldn’t be?”
