Netflix has announced that it has partnered with Wit Studio, known for producing the first three seasons of Attack on Titan, to remake another cult anime series, One Piece.
Although details about the remake are still emerging, the collaboration between Netflix and Wit Studio has already caused excitement and anticipation among fans. Netflix has not always been able to produce high-quality anime series, and some of the company’s projects are considered a complete failure. However, this year’s release of One Piece has shown that the company still knows how to work with love for the original. At least under the supervision of the creator of the original manga, Eiichiro Oda, who will undoubtedly be involved in the new adaptation.
Netflix’s announcement does not specify a specific release date for the remake of One Piece. It is also not yet known what approach Wit Studio has chosen to create it. After all, the remake poses a difficult task for the studio: to simultaneously introduce One Piece to a new generation of viewers and not to cause discontent among longtime fans.
