Users who purchased TV shows from Discovery on the PlayStation Store received an email from Sony stating that they would “no longer be able to watch” the purchased content, reports Kotaku.

“As of 31 December 2023, due to our content licensing arrangements with content providers, you will no longer be able to watch any of your previously purchased Discovery content and the content will be removed from your video library. We sincerely thank you for your continued support,” the letter says.

Despite the fact that users have purchased and paid for these shows, which are on the list shared by the company, a lot of them, they will no longer be able to access them.

Discovery is known for its extensive library of reality shows and documentary series, which, although not very expensive to produce, are still very popular, including among PlayStation owners. For example, the company will delete 20 seasons of MythBusters.

As a result, some users on social media have already begun to find out whether there will be any way to access the “deleted content” and express their outrage at the situation.
