Dontnod’s narrative advent adventure Life Is Strange, released in 2015 and launching a series of successful games, has sold a total of 20 million copies across all platforms. The news was announced by the game’s official X/Twitter account.

Life Is Strange, which used the Unreal Engine 3, was released on many platforms: PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox 360, Xbox One, OS X, Linux, iOS, Android, Nintendo Switch, and even Google Stadia. In 2022, an improved edition of Life Is Strange Remastered Collection was released. Although it took the game 8 years to reach 20 million copies, for a small narrative adventurous game, this is actually an impressive result on par with Marvel’s Spider-Man and God of War on PlayStation 4. For example, The Last of Us Part II, whose remaster is being prepared for release in 2024, has only 10 million copies.

After Life Is Strange (2015), Dontnod released Life Is Strange 2 (2018), and Deck Nine continued their work with Life Is Strange: Before the Storm (2017) and Life Is Strange: True Colors (2021). The Remastered Collection itself was also developed by Deck Nine.

Since 2016, there has been talk of creating a TV series based on the game. Unfortunately, the last news about Life Is Strange TV Series was in 2021.
