Sony and Naughty Dog studio announced the release of The Last of Us Part II remaster in 2024. The Last of Us Part II Remastered will be released on PlayStation 5 on January 19, 2024, which is only 3.5 years after the original game’s release.

The original The Last of Us Part II was released on June 19, 2020, exclusively on PlayStation 4, garnered a lot of awards and positive reviews from critics and… caused outrage among some players. The Last of Us Part II, along with Horizon Zero Dawn and The Last of Us Remastered, is ranked 5-7 on the PlayStation 4 bestseller list. All three games have sold approximately 10 million copies.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered will feature updated graphics (you need to look for differences with a microscope), audio commentary from the game’s creative director Neil Druckmann, and a new roguelike survival mode.

Those players who have The Last of Us Part II for PlayStation 4 in their library will be able to get The Last of Us Part II Remastered for only $10. In addition, they will be able to export their saves from the original game.

It can be assumed that after the remaster is released on PlayStation 5, the game will appear on Windows PC sometime in 2024.
