The developers do not give exact figures, but claim that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III has surpassed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022) in terms of hours played per player both in total and in the campaign mode. In addition, the Zombie mod became the third most popular mod (are there any more?!) in the history of the Modern Warfare subseries.
Note that there is no mention of the total number of players or sales, only the hours played by each individual player. That is, this is not information about the success of the game, but about the fact that those who bought it are forced to play to justify the money they spent.
At the moment, the rating of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III on Steam is as low as ever – 27%. The total number of reviews is very, very small – only 4,643, which indirectly confirms the extremely low sales of the game. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is currently ranked 17th in the Steam’s worst games ranking.
