YouTube is testing new artificial intelligence features that will allow users to create music with the help of prompts. This work is being done in collaboration with Google DeepMind developers. This is stated in the message of the platform.

As part of this work, YouTube is introducing a feature called Dream Track, which allows you to create short music tracks in the style of famous artists. This experiment involves 9 artists: Alec Benjamin, Charlie Puth, Charli XCX, Demi Lovato, John Legend, Papoose, Sia, T-Pain, and Troy Sivan.

Thanks to artificial intelligence, users will be able to create tracks up to 30 seconds long in the style of these artists and upload the generated music to YouTube Shorts.

To do this, you need to enter a prompt and choose the desired artist, and then AI will create an original track with the singer’s voice. The option is currently being tested by a select group of YouTube creators in the United States.

As a reminder, YouTube will require authors to mark content that looks realistic and was created using artificial intelligence. The relevant policy update will come into effect next year.
