The ROG Maximus Z790 Hero Eva-02 Edition motherboard from ASUS has attracted a lot of attention from the community, but it’s because of a very unobvious problem. The developers misspelled the word Evangelion and wrote EvangeNlion instead.

As reported by PC Gamer, the misspelling was initially also seen on the main image of the motherboard on the official ASUS website, but it has now been fixed.

However, where the mistake is not so easy to fix is on the finished boards that have been sent to customers. Youtuber CEHunter unpacked the board and at about 2:38 in the video, you can clearly see that it says EvangeNlion.

ASUS has not yet commented on this situation.

The ROG Maximus Z790 Hero Eva-02 Edition is equipped with an Intel LGA 1700 socket that supports 12th and 13th generation Intel Core processors, as well as Pentium Gold and Celeron. In addition, the board features 20+1 power stages, 4 DDR5 memory slots, a PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot on the included ROG Hyper M.2 board, and four PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots with powerful cooling systems.

The card has two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a 20Gbps Type-C connector on the front panel with Quick Charge 4+ up to 60W, six additional 10Gbps USB ports, two PCIe 5.0 x16 SafeSlots, and HDMI 2.1.
