Many Threads users report that they now have the option to opt out of showing their posts on Instagram and Facebook, writes The Verge.

This option has been added to the platform settings. To do this, in Threads, go to Privacy and select Share posts in other apps. In the new window, users will be able to disable the publication of their posts on other Meta platforms.

The platform recently added the ability to conduct polls and send GIFs. For example, users can choose from four answer options during a survey. There is also a timer that shows the time until the survey is completed. When it comes to sending GIFs, Threads has a special GIF icon for searching for files directly from Giphy.

According to Mark Zuckerberg’s estimates, the service currently has just under 100 million active users per month. But Meta expects to turn Threads into a “public conversation app for a billion people” that will be “more positive” than some competitors.
