Yes, the Acura TLX is a large sedan in general. But for true car fans, the “Type S” designation means a lot. And the updated Acura TLX Type S sedan tries to fully meet such expectations!
For example, all versions of the updated Acura TLX have a new front end with a black grille and 19-inch wheels. However, the sport version of the Acura TLX Type S can even boast 20-inch wheels that hide BREMBO brakes, a front bumper spoiler, and a split exhaust system with dual tailpipes. It looks really, really good!
By the way, the powerful brakes and exhaust are not just for show. Under the hood, there is a 3-liter turbocharged V6 engine with 355 horses, which is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Another highlight of the Acura TLX Type S is the SH-AWD all-wheel drive with traction vector control: that is, it is an active redistribution of torque between the wheels.
Finally, the “hot” Acura TLX Type S sedan also stands out in the cabin. For starters, all versions of the updated Acura TLX get a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a larger 12.3-inch center display. However, the sports version also adds a projection display, a steering wheel with the appropriate Type S designations, and a special Sport+ mode with the most “sharp” engine response to the accelerator pedal.
Of course, the Acura TLX Type S sedan is unlikely to become a mass product – especially in Ukraine. Nevertheless, this car definitely deserves the attention of fans and admirers of powerful, luxurious, technological cars with a sporty character.
