The Boy and The Heron – trailer with English dubbing

The film distributor GKIDS Films presented the English dubbed trailer of The Boy and The Heron by the Japanese animation studio Studio Ghibli, writes The Verge.

According to the distributor, Christian Bale, Dave Batista, Gemma Chan, William Defoe, Karen Fukuhara, Mark Hamill, Robert Pattinson, and Florence Pugh joined the English voice cast. The anime is set in Japan and tells the story of a 12-year-old boy named Mahito, whose mother has died.

The animation will be released in the US on December 8, 2023. However, special preview screenings will begin on November 22 in New York and Los Angeles. The animated film is the work of the famous Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki. He is a co-founder of the Ghibli studio, and in 2005-2014 he was its director.

Earlier it became known that the studio, known for such works as My Neighbor Totoro and The Tale of Princess Kaguya, will release The Boy and The Heron in IMAX format. And the director himself is working on a new film, so his retirement is still postponed.
