Microsoft is starting to gradually sell access to Copilot, an AI-powered assistant, writes The Verge.

For now, the launch is more like a “pre-order” because most people won’t be able to use the new assistant right away.

“Enterprise customers can call their Microsoft account representative to purchase Microsoft 365 Copilot,” explains TJ Devine, senior director of product marketing for Microsoft 365. “Customers who already have Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 (or Business Standard / Premium) can start using Bing Chat Enterprise today.”

The cost of using the AI assistant is $30 per month. However, corporate clients need to have at least 300 users to get on the list for access to the assistant. Accordingly, the cost is from $9 thousand per month.

Copilot

Over the course of several months, more than 600 corporate customers have already tested Microsoft 365 Copilot as part of the paid early access program.

Earlier this spring, Microsoft announced a Copilot of an AI-based assistant called OpenAI GPT-4, which will become part of the Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams office programs.
