HMD, which has created a new generation of Nokia’s repairable smartphones, has been named one of TIME magazine’s Best Inventions of 2023 thanks to Nokia G22. The QuickFix design allows users to repair it themselves at home.

TIME’s annual list of the best inventions of 2023 includes 200 innovations that can change our lives, and HMD’s Nokia G22 smartphone is one of them. The model was created in collaboration with the well-known electronics repair company iFixit, through which users can order QuickFix kits online to replace a cracked screen, bent charging port, or old battery on their own. According to HMD, replacement parts for repairable smartphones will be available in Ukraine in the near future.

Nokia G22 is named one of the best inventions of 2023 by TIME

As a reminder, Nokia G22 has a 6.52-inch 720p display with a frequency of 90 Hz and a drop-shaped notch for an 8-megapixel selfie camera, as well as a trio of rear cameras, including a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The device is powered by a Unisoc T606 processor and has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. The device is unlocked using a fingerprint scanner located on the side, and is IP52-rated for dust and water resistance.

The smartphone is currently available in Ukraine starting at UAH 5 399.
