Wizards of the Coast has announced a collaboration between Magic: The Gathering and the Marvel universe.

So far, there are no dates, only a statement about many years of cooperation and an announcement trailer. Most likely, the MTG set in the Marvel universe will appear no earlier than 2025, as it is already known that the crossover of Magic: The Gathering and Doctor Who crossover will be released in November 2023. MTG and Jurassic World, MTG and Fallout in March 2024, MTG and Assassin’s Creed in June 2024, and MTG and Final Fantasy in 2025. That is, all slots are already booked, because Wizards of the Coast needs to release 4-5 more standard Magic sets: The Gathering next year.

Active collaborations with other universes began in Magic: The Gathering back in 2021, when the Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms set by D&D. In February 2022, there was an unusual and very interesting cyberpunk set by Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty, in June 2022, a set in honor of the D&D and Baldur’s Gate universe, and in October 2022, in honor of Warhammer 40,000. Summer 2023 set The Lord of The Rings: Tales of Middle-Earth with the most expensive MTG card of all time, at the same time, it became known about crossovers with Fallout, Final Fantasy, Assassin’s Creed, and Doctor Who.
