Citroen has presented its new electric car, the Citroen e-C3. And it looks like it’s just “another city hatchback”; but in fact, it turns out to be interesting for many reasons.

First of all, the new Citroen e-C3 demonstrates a new style for future Citroen models: headlights and lights made of several straightforward elements, an oval logo, and flat body surfaces. By the way, it has a rather tall body: with only 4.01-meter length and 1.76-meter width, the Citroen e-C3 hatchback has grown upwards by 1.57 meters – almost at the level of compact crossovers. And the ground clearance is not bad: at 163 mm.

Secondly, the Citroen e-C3 electric car is a harbinger of the fourth-generation Citroen C3: just remove the letter “e” from the name and install a small gasoline engine under the hood – done! But now all the attention is on the electric car, as Citroen seeks to strengthen its position in the direction of electrification.

And it chooses the path of accessibility. That is why the Citroen e-C3 electric car will receive an 83 kW (113 hp) electric motor and a 44 kWh battery, which should be enough for 320 km of range (WLTP). Acceleration from 0-100 km/h will take about 11 seconds, and the top speed should reach 135 km/h.

Of course, such figures are not impressive today, but this technique will be relatively inexpensive for the buyer. Well, in the understanding of Europeans, it is inexpensive… The cost of the Citroen e-C3 starts at 23,300 euros. Later, a version for 19,990 euros was promised, but with a range of only 200 km. Perhaps something else interesting is offered for this money?

Yes! After all, the third is the interior. The Citroen e-C3 electric car does not have a traditional dashboard: now the information projection system is always used. But there is still room for a display – a 10.25-inch multimedia system monitor is installed in the center of the front panel. There is also room for Advanced Comfort seats. Together with the proprietary Progressive Hydraulic Cushions suspension, they promise good softness while driving.

The company emphasizes that the Citroen e-C3 electric car is not only developed in Europe and has a European brand, but will also be produced in Europe, where sales are expected to start in the first half of 2024. It is also known that the new car will come to Ukraine in gasoline versions in mid-2024.
