Helping customers on social media is a common practice for all modern companies. Apple even has a separate account in X for such cases – Apple Support. This is an official channel that publishes various tips for users and also provides assistance through private messages. Or rather, it did.

This was pointed out by MacRumors.

Therefore, from now on, the well-known Apple Support account does not provide on-the-spot advice to users who contact it in private messages or tag it in their posts. Instead, users are offered to follow the link to the support page of the Apple website.

Apple Support account in X stopped helping users via social network

As previously reported by the media outlet, the company planned to reduce support for X, YouTube, and even on its own forum Apple Support Community. That’s about 150 employees.

The changes were planned for the beginning of October this year. And now, in the description of the X-account, the line “available every day to answer your questions” has changed to “we are here to provide tips, tricks, and useful information when you need it most.”

It seems that help in YouTube comments is also no longer available. However, the company’s support forum will still have messages from Apple specialists until the company switches to phone support.
