In fact, it became known in 2021 that Netflix was working on an animated series based on the Tomb Raider franchise. The events of the series were supposed to take place after the events of the trilogy of Tomb Raider (2013), Rise of the Tomb Raider (2015), and Shadow of the Tomb Raider (2018) reboot games by Crystal Dynamics.

Tomb Raider: The Legend Of Lara Croft will be released under the Legendary Entertainment brand, and is being produced by Powerhouse Animation, the studio that has made such animated series as Castlevania and Masters of the Universe: Revelation.

Lara in Tomb Raider: The Legend Of Lara Croft will be voiced by actress Hayley Atwell, known for her role as agent Peggy Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films and TV series.

As a reminder, after the release of Shadow of the Tomb Raider (2018), which did not meet the publishers’ expectations, the Tomb Raider series is in limbo. So far, remasters of old games for mobile platforms have been released. Little is known about the new big project developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Amazon Games.
