After numerous leaks and announcements, the new Peugeot e-3008 crossover has finally been officially unveiled. So far, it is in the form of an electric vehicle, although gasoline-hybrid engines have also been mentioned. But first things first. So…

The new Peugeot e-3008 crossover has slightly increased in size (4.54-meter length and 2.73-meter wheelbase) and changed the body format: now it is a coupe-like crossover with a sloping rear window. The new body features not only design but also improved aerodynamics: coefficient Cx=0.28.

This should have a positive impact on improving streamlining and, consequently, the range. After all, the Peugeot e-3008 is the first incarnation of the STLA Medium platform, so it needs to show a good result. For example, a maximum range of 700 km in the Long Range version with a 98 kWh battery and one 170 kW or 230 horsepower electric motor.

The base version of the Peugeot e-3008 electric vehicle will have a 73 kWh battery and only one electric motor (157 kW or 210 hp) to drive the front wheels. However, a version with two electric motors with a total capacity of 240 kW (320 hp) and all-wheel drive will also be offered. But still with a 73 kWh battery – the autonomy on the smaller battery should be 525 km.

Later, hybrid versions will be offered. Both a low-powered (about 136 hp) version based on a 1.2-liter gasoline engine and a more powerful (about 190-200 hp) hybrid based on a 1.6-liter engine are expected. And there will also be two trim levels: Allure or GT – and it is the latter that will receive a 21-inch panoramic display in the cabin. The Allure version will not have a panoramic screen, but two 10-inch displays, although they will be interconnected.

Other interesting features of the Peugeot e-3008 interior include touch-sensitive switches not only on the front panel but also on the steering wheel. And among the interesting features of the GT version are Pixel LED matrix headlights, a black roof, original 20-inch wheels, and 360-degree cameras.

But how much will such an electric car cost? This is still a question that will be answered when the new product is launched in 2024.
