Along with the announcement of the new iPhone 15 line of smartphones, which received a USB-C port, Apple announced that the second-generation AirPods Pro headphones are now also available with this connector. This way, a single USB-C cable is enough to charge your MacBook, iPad, iPhone, and AirPods. What’s more, you can use your iPhone as a power bank and recharge your headphones with a USB-C cable.

In addition, Apple has slightly improved the protection of AirPods Pro against moisture and dust. Now the headphones have an IP54 rating (previously IPX4).

The company also announced support for ultra-low-latency Lossless Audio in conjunction with the Apple Vision Pro virtual reality headset.

Apple AirPods Pro headphones now with USB-C

The second-generation Apple AirPods Pro with a MagSafe charging case with a USB-C port costs $249. The headphones will go on sale on September 22.

I should also note that Apple has also released wired EarPods with USB-C. They are estimated at $19.
