Xbox CEO Phil Spencer thanked players on Twitter and announced that more than 1 million players played Starfield simultaneously on launch day across all platforms.

269 thousand players out of this figure were on Steam, where Starfield updated the previous record set by Premium version owners.

The Xbox Series X|S version of Starfield has a Metacritic score of 86/100, the PC version has a Metacritic score of 87/100. Players on Steam agree with this assessment, The game’s Steam rating is 83/100 based on 22 thousand reviews.

Currently, the Nexus Mods database contains over 800 mods for Starfield, including those that fix menus, graphics, remove some restrictions, edit things, etc.
