The Century name is an iconic one for Toyota – it has been the name of premium luxury sedans since 1967. And now it’s time to add a Toyota Century SUV crossover that will meet the realities of our time.

The design of the Toyota Century crossover is made in such a way that it is immediately clear that it belongs to a certain line of cars: monumental, majestic, massive. The dimensions are appropriate – the total length exceeds 5.2 meters, the wheelbase stretches 2.95 meters, and the body width has reached almost 2 meters.

Of course, the flagship car has been equipped with the appropriate technology. Inside is a plug-in hybrid powertrain that combines a 3.5-liter V6 and an electric motor. The manufacturer promises the ability to use the Toyota Century SUV as an electric vehicle (up to 69 km) for daily city trips and enough power (412 hp) to enjoy the dynamics. In addition, the Toyota Century crossover has a swiveling rear wheel system to improve maneuverability. There is also a special REAR COMFORT driving mode to ensure maximum passenger comfort.

Of course, it’s easy to see why – in the case of the Toyota Century SUV, it’s the rear passenger who is in charge! We can mention the wide and massive front panel, two displays and physical control buttons. However, the most important thing is the two separate rear seats, which can also be folded down. The most important thing is a separate rear center console with ventilation deflectors and a clock. The most important thing is the folding rear monitors and the two function displays in the armrest.

Production of the car in Japan will begin soon, but the sales territory has not yet been determined. Usually, Toyota Century sedans remained only in Japan, it was a “product for their own”. Especially with the emergence of LEXUS as a global premium brand. But in fact, the Toyota Century SUV is even higher, which may emphasize the cost of the car: the price is expected to start at the equivalent of $170 thousand.

However, there is no doubt that there will be buyers. Moreover, the Toyota Century SUV crossover will be produced in limited quantities – only 30 cars per month. A true Japanese exclusive!
