Traditionally, in the last days of the month, Sony announces the next month’s PS Plus game giveaways. Thus, in September, all subscribers of all tariffs, including the basic PS Plus Essential, will be able to add the following titles to their library:

Saints Row (PS4, PS5) – perhaps the most interesting offer of the month. The reboot of the series, released last year on all current platforms, offers a well-known third-person action game in an open world. Unfortunately, although critics more or less liked the game, players rated it much worse.

Black Desert: Traveler Edition (PS4) – is a Korean MMORPG in the sandbox subgenre, which was globally released on PC in 2016 and ported to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2019. Traveler Edition includes the full version of the game and an additional pack with various bonuses.

Generation Zero (PS4) – is a first-person shooter from Avalanche Studios, the authors of Just Cause. The game has a very interesting setting: the events of Generation Zero take place in an alternative Sweden in 1989, which has been taken over by robots. Unfortunately, the gameplay did not impress critics and players alike: the game’s Metacritic score is less than 60%, although Steam has better reviews: Generation Zero has 74% positive ratings there.

The giveaway will start on September 5, but for now, the previous offer is valid: everyone still has time to pick up the August games on PS Plus. To recap, these are PGA Tour 2K23, Dreams and Death’s Door.

In addition, Sony shared less pleasant news: the company is raising the cost of a 12-month subscription for all PlayStation Plus plans. Starting September 6, the new cost of PS Plus Essential for a year will be $80 / €72, PS Plus Extra – $135 / €126, and Premium – $160 / €152.
