Despite its lower price, the Mini retains many of the core features of its predecessors, including support for 3D surround sound formats such as Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, 360 Reality Audio, and MPEG-H. It also offers a wide range of streaming options, such as Bluetooth, Spotify Connect, built-in Chromecast, and AirPlay 2.

Ambeo Soundbar Mini is much smaller than the older models, with dimensions of 70 x 10 x 6.5 cm. The smaller size means fewer speakers – only six: four full-range and two woofers. Unlike the Soundbar Plus model, the Mini does not have speakers pointing upward to reflect sound from the ceiling. Instead, it relies on virtualization technology for its high-frequency channels.

The Mini is equipped with one HDMI eARC port for connecting to a TV, the soundbar has no optical or additional inputs, such as an HDMI pass-through port. This means that the Soundbar Mini will occupy one HDMI port on your TV without offering any additional ports. The soundbar also does not support the ability to purchase and connect external surround back speakers.

Sennheiser claims that the Ambeo Soundbar Mini can virtualize 7.1.4 channels of sound. The soundbar also has built-in Alexa for voice commands and features such as night mode and voice enhancement options. With the help of built-in microphones, the soundbar can calibrate itself according to the room in which it is located.
