For some reason, we missed this announcement, but better late than never, especially since Neo Berlin 2087 looks like a pretty interesting project.

Neo Berlin 2087 is a first/third-person detective cyberpunk action/RPG set in… yes, New Berlin in 2087. The authors say they were inspired by cyberpunk classics like Blade Runner and Ghost in the Shell (1995) but for some reason we think it’s more Deus Ex and Cyberpunk 2077. And the similarity of the names to the game from CD Projekt Red is definitely not accidental.

The authors promise a smooth transition from FPS to TPS; an emotional story with difficult moral dilemmas; both a straightforward and stealth approach to solving problems; an interesting new setting, etc. In the trailer, you can see both combat episodes and a story about the game’s plot. It looks interesting, but don’t get your expectations too high, as it will be easier to accept the project as it turns out.

Neo Berlin 2087 is being developed by Berlin-based Elysium Game Studio (where is our Kyiv cyberpunk from a Kyiv studio?!). The release date is 2024 (very unlikely), platforms are Windows PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S. The project does not have a publisher yet. But it already has a Stream page, add to the wishlist.
