Microsoft will soon release a revamped Settings home page for Windows 11 designed to improve the user experience. The update, which is currently available to Windows Insiders in beta, introduces “interactive cards” that offer quick access to a variety of settings.

The new Settings home page will feature interactive cards that serve as quick links to various settings. These cards are designed to make it easier for users to navigate through the many options available in Windows 11. For example, you can quickly navigate to Bluetooth settings to pair with a new device or change account recovery settings without having to dig through numerous menus.

Another feature worth noting is the personalized recommendations that will be offered on the homepage. These recommendations will be generated based on specific usage patterns, allowing users to get more customized settings suggestions. For example, if you frequently change your display settings or switch audio resolutions frequently, these options will appear on the settings home page.

Microsoft is also using the new homepage to promote its own services. Users will see a section that displays the OneDrive cloud storage available to them, as well as cards with the status of their Microsoft 365 and Xbox subscriptions. At the initial stage, the menu will feature up to seven cards, with more to come.

In addition to the Settings home page, Microsoft is also working on a Windows Backup app that will help users migrate their settings and pinned programs when setting up a new PC. Additionally, a small update to the Dynamic Lighting feature will soon allow users to synchronize the Windows accent color with peripherals and PC components.

These updates are part of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22631.2262, which is now available on the beta testing channel.
