Assassin’s Creed: Jade – gameplay trailer

The mobile Assassin Assassin’s Creed: Jade has lost the word “Codename” in its title and is actively preparing for the launch of the open beta. At Gamescon 2023, the developers showed a bit of the game’s gameplay.

As a reminder, Assassin’s Creed: Jade is a mobile free-to-play game developed and published by Level Infinite (part of Tencent) in cooperation with Ubisoft. The game takes place in ancient China in 215 BC, the year when the Terracotta Army of the Emperor of the united China, Qin Shi Huang, was created.

This is the first game in the series after Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China (2015) to be set in China, but AC Chronicles: China was a spin-off of the main series and an action/platformer (actually a good game, like the rest of the Chronicles).

Judging by the trailer, we can expect almost the same gameplay as in most major Assassin’s Creed games, and the graphics here are on the level of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate (2015), which means that they are not so bad, especially for a mobile project. In general, the only question is how aggressive monetization will be. Considering that the game is aimed primarily at the Chinese market, we are afraid that it will be very aggressive.
