Remember the Acura ZDX? It was a large, coupe-like crossover that had an interesting design but was not a huge commercial success. But now Acura is trying to start over and is offering the second generation Acura ZDX. But now as an electric vehicle.

And it’s a big one: we have a 5-meter body length and a 3-meter wheelbase. We also have a design that is typical of new Acura models.

Interestingly, the Acura ZDX electric car will be offered in two versions: A-Spec or Type S. The battery is the same for both (102 kWh and a range of up to 523 km), but everything else is different. For example, the Acura ZDX A-Spec will offer rear or all-wheel drive and a power output of about 340 horsepower.

But the sports version of the Acura ZDX Type S is offered only with all-wheel drive and increased power – 500 “horses” here. It also has BREMBO brakes and 22-inch wheels, adaptive suspension, etc.

Inside the Acura ZDX, we see a compact 3-spoke steering wheel, an 11-inch digital instrument panel and an 11.3-inch touchscreen display on the front panel. Also note the separate climate control unit and red decorative lighting. The Type S version is also likely to get sports seats.

Sales of the Acura ZDX electric vehicle will start at the very beginning of 2024. The cost is already known: the Acura ZDX A-Spec version will cost from $60 thousand, but the Acura ZDX Type S is estimated at least $70 thousand.
